And also see the timings , as it opens in morning for three hours and evening for 2 hrs, so plan it accordingly, expect rush always.Dress code for men- only dhoti, no electronic devicesDress code for men , they can wrap dhoti on whatever they are wearing, or else saree and full length skirt is allowed. No electronic devices or metal , u can carry ur bag but no electronic devices in bag.

We visited the place at night, After 7:40pm there is a ticket charge of Rs. 50 for Darshan.We were traveller's with a toddler.Took the tickets but had to come back due to the rush and long queue.Peaceful and serene atmosphere.People are very friendly

Beautiful and historic. It is worth the visit even if you are not Hindu. Non Hindus are not allowed inside the temple, but you can go to the museum to the left of it located in the old palace. It is gorgeous and has many priceless artifacts. Definitely go see the outside of the Temple and the museum. You cannot take pictures inside the museum. Only the outside.

Temple brings the peace that is very indeed present at the depth of heart. Only dhotis are allowed to wear for boys and also without shirt. So remember only dhotis without shirts. Dhotis are available for rent are temple premises itself. If need to buy one then the market area is very close to the temple. There all things could be found like food, clothing,bags, gadgets and etc, the security personnels over there are very helpful and ready to guide. Pilgrims attending from across the country make the temple darshan more special. Finally visit the main deity and also some small shrines are present and worth visiting them too.

There is a cloak room right before the steps where you can put your luggage. Men must wear mundu without a shirt/tshirt. Back in June 2011, as a result of a petition filed in the court seeking transparency in the management of the temple and the subsequent investigation of the temple complex, six subterranean vaults were found inside the Padmanabhaswamy temple. They were subsequently named vaults A, B, C, D, E, and F. Out of the six, they managed to open five, from which came out items like gold coins, statues, jewelries, precious stones, crowns and even thrones made of gold! The collection turned out to be the largest ever recorded collection of items of gold and precious stones.

A magnificent temple. As soon as we go into the temple, we get an unknown divine feeling. Amazing sculpture is here. I can't express that feeling in words..you have to see it! There is a beautiful lake corner outside the temple. There are many fish in it which are visible to the visitors. It also contains crocodile but does not harm the fish, which is the specialty here.All the facilities we need are available in the surroundings of the temple. It's a very good temple. We visited on weekday but also there was a long queue to see Padmanabhaswamy. You can get special drashnam in the evening. We are not allowed with normal/regular dress inside the temple for men and women even kids

The famous ancient temple Sree Padmanabhaswamy is situated in the heart of Trivandrum. There are no parking facilities and also there is a high rush in front of the temple. The temple is very neat and clean. The temple is situated nearest to the KSRTC bus stand. 4,5 Km far from the railway station. Only Hindus and government officials would be let in the temple's main part. There is high security on all sides of the Temple. We couldn't see the Kalavara part .overall nice.
